Virtual Reality

Although in it’s infancy, Virtual Reality Gaming is quickly gaining steam in the hardcore gaming scene. VR sets like the HTC Vive are bringing the technology to new levels and opening doors for novice and advanced gamers alike. The HTC Vive comes with a headset, controllers very similar to the Nintendo Wii, and 360 degree motion tracking sensors.

Using the Vive is a very immersive experience. Once you are in the virtual reality world you can experience games like VR Funhouse, where you enter a virtual carnival full of fun and games. Be an archer with flaming arrows. Test your skill shooting skeet targets blasted from a cannon. See how many moles you can punch, whack, and much more. There is also the futuristic Job Simulator: The 2050 Archives where the year is 2050, In a world where robots have replaced all human jobs, step into the “Job Simulator” to learn what it was like ‘to job’. Players can relive the glory days of work by simulating the ins and outs of being a gourmet chef, an office worker, a convenience store clerk, and more.

We can’t wait to play the upcoming remake of the 1993 First Person Shooter classic DOOM VR, which enables you to become the unnamed space marine operating under the auspices of Union Aerospace Corporation (UAC), who fights hordes of demons and the undead in order to survive.

To experience this VR is something else and although expensive now, we believe that this will be the next evolution in the gaming hierarchy. We are excited to be able to provide you with the VR experience at our monthly meet-up this Sept. 28th at 6pm here at our flagship location. We will have our HTC Vive set up for you to come and experience the next movement in gaming for yourself. We here at Computer Doc are really excited about this month’s meet-up and look forward to sharing this experience with you.

You can RSVP to our meet-up here.
